An Austin man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison following a fatal crash in Leander in August 2023. Jose Luis Gonzalez, 35, was convicted on two charges of manslaughter and one count of causing a collision resulting in death. The victims, 35-year-old Jose Luis Rebollar Osorio and 69-year-old Avelina Osorio Lopez, died in the crash that occurred on August 26 at the intersection of Hero Way and the 183A Toll Road frontage road, as reported by the Leander Police Department.
Gonzalez pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with five days already credited for time served.
