November 22 Scores: Texas High School Football Playoff Action in the 2nd Round

Lake Travis is moving on in the Class 6A Division I playoffs after a convincing 55-27 win over San Antonio Johnson on Friday at Rattler Stadium in San Marcos. The victory sets the Cavaliers up for their next playoff matchup as they look to continue their strong postseason run.

In other local playoff action, Westlake triumphed over San Antonio Brennan with a 24-7 win at Burger Stadium in Austin. However, several Central Texas teams saw their playoff dreams end in tough losses.

Heartbreaking Losses for Central Texas Teams

Georgetown suffered a devastating 49-45 defeat to Frisco Reedy after holding a commanding 45-7 lead, while Dripping Springs was outmatched by San Antonio Harlan, losing 55-24. Bastrop also fell short, losing to Fort Bend Marshall 38-10, and Liberty Hill lost a close game to Brenham, 30-27.

Despite some heartbreaking outcomes, there were plenty of bright spots for the region as Lago Vista, Lampasas, Lexington, and Llano all posted big wins. Mason also advanced with a dominant victory, but Schulenburg and Elgin both saw their seasons come to an end with losses in their respective playoff matchups.
